Site Architecture: how to find?
When you browse the website of the exhibition « Devenir Humain, the art of human enhancement », you can find 5 different types of page:
- The home and presentations pages (one by which you entered the site and the artists and themes page)
- The pages of text (explanations, interviews, comments, etc..)
- The “artists” pages
- The “artworks” pages
- The “themes” pages
1. The home and presentation pages
• The home page is normally one by which you entered on the site. You can return at any time by selecting “Home“. You’ll find:
o A link explaining the concept of the exhibition
o A link about the selection committee
o A link to the collaborative workspace H+AC (PBWorks)
o A link to explanatory texts, interviews, comments, etc.
o A link explaining the structure and site navigation
o A link to the presentation of artists and works
• Also on the homepage, you can see a circular showing thumbnails of a selection of works considered most significant by the committee (these works are immediately accessible by double clicking).
• The presentation page of artists and themes present, right, a mosaic of thumbnails showing the same home page works, left, list three major themes by which the works have been grouped, then the list artists who contributed to the exhibition. You can return at any time by selecting “Themes and Artists”.
2. Pages of text (explanations, interviews, comments, etc..)
• This text presentation of this exhibition, its history, selection committee and presentation of Transhumanism or rather the relationship between art and Transhumanism. You access it from the homepage.
3. The “artists” pages
• From the “Themes and Artists” page, you can select any name from among the 18 artists in this exhibition. By clicking on the name of an artist you get to the page dedicated to him.
• Each “artist” page opens with that of his works that has been most appreciated by the selection committee.
• Below you will find, right, a column which are accessible all the works submitted by the artist with a brief presentation.
• The favorite works by the Committee shall be accompanied by an icon. The others are accessible only by title.
• If you click on the title of the work, you can access the page dedicated to this work. If you click on the icon of presenting this work will open a preview window.
• A few works considered insufficiently related to our subject are visible only from the platform of work H+AC.
• At left is firstable the sheet of the highlighted work, then the name of the artist, then various links associated with him/her (email, websites, other documents …) and finally the complete list of artists .
4. The “artworks” pages
• By clicking on the title of a work, you go to the page dedicated to it.
• The work itself is at its maximum size in the top.
• There may be a single image, a slideshow of multiple images, video or even audio files.
• Below the work itself, you see, right, a column that shows other creations have been grouped in the same category (or theme).
• On the left, below the technical specifications of the work, are the name of the artist, a few comments from members of the selection committee, then again the full list of artists in the exhibition.
5. The “themes” pages
• By selecting one of the three themes of the page “Themes and Artists” takes you to a page with, left, a column showing the full list of works grouped under the theme.
• At the right you will find links to three major themes and the list of artists.
