Digital Bodies
The arrival of virtual environments and augmented realities have had a distinct impact on the way we interact with the world. These types of simulations cause new relationships between the observer and what is being observed and affect our senses and experiences in ways that are more dramatic and monumental than ever before.
The Digital Bodies series considers what the future world might be like, both visually and experientially, when the real and the virtual collide. The hybrid of synthetic and organic realities is already underway, and the effects of this synthesis will reveal interesting changes in the way we go about our everyday lives. Not only will our ways of doing things change substantially but the tactility of our contact with the environment will alter as well.
There are many possibilities that we could imagine occurring in the near and distant future. The ability to control robotic entities remotely, capture, translate, and output from neural firings into language, create avatars and interact with them in virtual worlds, access directions to any location in the world through our cell phones, or even learn how busy a particular cafe is through augmented reality applications. These are minor changes; yet, they have opened up access to a more united habitat; breaking down traditional borders and opening up a network of information that is incalculably immense.
Eventually the separation between the real world and the virtual will become seamless as we slide from one mode of being into another.

A frontier outside of infinity? But surely infinity, because of it’s infinite nature, would encompass the frontier outside of it; feedback, a loop…thus the need for cyclo-anarchic technology that will allow paradoxes to be transcended and for a “frontier outside of infinity” to be explored; for absurd illogic to exist and to be explored physically.

Again. I continue to enjoy the style (although the visual system by “lens” does not quite satisfy me. I wish I could see the whole picture in full page).
This time, it is very human issue. It is probably referred to “trans-” too, because there is a change of state. But is there enhancement (if yes, which?), Or simply decay?
Perhaps it is also question of the physical nature of humans, composed of atoms as well as the nature that surrounds. Atoms whose coherence as a body and human mind is only fleeting.
Finally, how to interpret the star configurations above the figure, right and left?
The character to the human form seems to bring the look into these arabesques bubble stars above him. These consist of the same bubbles and organized according to some logic. Both the others are connected. In fact, ultimately it may be talking about a method of alternative communication! This would perhaps be of Transhumanism, but in a distant prospect and through a comment about inaccessible.

De nouveau. Je continue d’apprécier le style (bien que le système de visualisation par « loupe » ne me satisfasse pas bien. J’aimerais pouvoir afficher la totalité du dessin en pleine page).
Cette fois-ci, il est bien question d’humain. Il est sans doute question de « trans- » aussi, car il y a un changement d’état. Mais y a-t-il augmentation (si oui, laquelle ?), ou simple désintégration ?
Peut-être est-il également question de la nature matérielle de l’humain, composé d’atomes au même titre que la nature qui l’entoure. Atomes dont la cohérence sous forme de corps et d’esprit humain n’est que fugace.
Enfin, comment interpréter les configurations en étoile au-dessus du personnage, à droite et à gauche ?
Le personnage à la forme humaine semble porter le regard vers ces arabesques de bulles en étoiles au-dessus de lui. Celles-ci sont composées des mêmes bulles et s’organisent selon une certaine logique. Les uns et les autres sont reliés. En fait, finalement, il est peut-être ici question d’un mode de communication alternatif ! Cela relèverait peut-être du Transhumanisme, mais dans une perspective éloignée et à travers un propos difficilement accessible.
